TNC-CC: 1st Year and Beyond
That’s right, TNC-CC celebrated its 1st birthday this past Sunday. Thanks to the NA 8:30 service for getting us started with their well wishes which included a rousing rendition, via video, of “Happy Birthday” (boy, you guys have a lot of energy early in the morning!) We had a great day of worship and learning followed by birthday cake as we celebrated a year worth remembering.
It has been an incredible year. A group of about 70 people (including kids) stepped out to bring TrueNorth across the river to Columbia County. During this past year we have seen our attendance average over 170, a group of volunteers that has grown and served faithfully and selflessly so that others may know the love of our Savior, and JTeams flourish and build community within our campus. Most importantly, we have baptized over 25. That represents 25 people who will be changed forever and spend eternity in heaven.
As awesome as this year has been, I believe that the best is yet to come! During his first message of this new year, Steve asked us to not forsake our small prayers, but he also challenged us to present our BIG PRAYERS to God. Let me share some of my BIG PRAYERS for TNC-CC:
· That our passion to reach out to family, friends and co-workers continues and intensifies, so that we continue to see lives changed.
· That we get to the point of needing two services, so that ALL of our hard working volunteers can serve in one service and worship EVERY WEEK in the other service.
· That all of our members and regular attenders take the next step in their relationship with Christ; for some that may mean becoming involved with a JTeam, for some that may mean volunteering on a weekly basis, and for others that may mean getting involved in missions (Second Saturday, Regional Missions, or even a trip to Guatemala or SE Asia).
THANK YOU to the NA Campus for continuing to
support CC with your prayers and encouragement, and to those that have served
so selflessly on the CC campus in making this 1st year so memorable.
Join me as we make this year even better!
Praying BIG Prayers,
David Bryan
